DEFERRAL
Applicants may defer their place on a course by up to one academic year. All applications for deferrals must be received by the Institute at least 30 days before the commencement date of the course (published date). SIHM reserves the right to charge a deferral fee.

AFTER ARRIVAL
Upon arrival, Applicants must provide appropriate photographic ID (including a Passport or ID card) and a copy of their Visa. The School will take copies of all relevant documents. All information will be stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act. Applicants will not be allowed to start the course if the full fees have not been received by the Institute 2 weeks prior to the commencement date of the course. In this event, the Applicants place will not be guaranteed and course bookings may be cancelled.

INSURANCE
Swiss Federal Law requires Students in Switzerland to be insured against sickness and accident for twelve months with a recognized Insurance Company. All SIHM Students are automatically insured upon their arrival. Students who fall ill, have an accident, or are hospitalized must inform the Administration immediately. The Institute’s role is to help the Students to manage their health care by making appointments with local medical and emergency services, providing them with proper insurance including completing the necessary paperwork, and providing assistance in making referrals should this be desired..
